FLAT SURFACE

The lifespan of a steel mesh, for an equivalent wire diameter, depends directly on the amount of material that must be worn before the first signs of mesh deformation or wire loosening appear.
In other words, the larger the wire cross-section, the greater the material reserve, and the longer the mesh can withstand abrasion and mechanical shocks associated with the screening process.
Thus, the design and metallurgical quality of the steel used play a crucial role in wear resistance, dimensional stability of the mesh, and, consequently, the overall durability of the mesh.
